Match report Crane cricketers were greeted by yet another cloudy day and wet wicket as they took on Uxbridge Casuals.

Jason won the toss and had no hesitation in getting the opposistion to bat first. Sunny and Hardeep opened the bowling but it was just after 8 overs that Jason decided to call in the "Triplets of spin".

Sanjeev, Kam and Romy all bowled well with Kam taking 2 wickets by the half way stage and leaving Uxbridge on 44 for 2. In comes Jonny Heath for Uxbridge and started to accelerate their score finaly getting Uxbridge to a total of 114 for 7 wickets for their 40 overs. An excellent effort by the Crane attack backed by 3 stumpings from Wicky for the day Jim and 3 wickets from Romy.

Crane now needed 115 from 40 overs.

The innings started badly with Amo strangled down the leg side off the very first ball of the innings. Hardeep followed soon with a great catch being taken by Heath for Uxbridge. The run rate started to edge towards 4 an over. Partnerships between Rishi and Bob and then Jim and Bob saw the run rate get cut back to around 3 an over. Bob eventually falling for 33 leaving Jim now with Jason still needing 45 runs to win.

Jason and Jim with some excellent batting and quick running between the wickets slowly edged Crane towards the finish line. Jim finaling falling for 15. Sunny joined Jason at the crease still requring 9 runs.

Getting to the last over with 3 runs needed Jason sees the Crane team through to an excellent victory.
