Match report Crane travelled to Maidenhead to Boyne Hill…

It was a wonderful day for cricket. The ground was excellent and the wicket looked great for batting and some serious pace bowling…

The skip lost the toss and Crane was asked to bowl first…

Gurjit and Mitul opened the bowling. Both bowled with pace and speed and Gurjit picking up one wicket. Mitul finished with 8 overs for 20 only.

On came Hamzah (guest) and Ranjit, who picked up 3 and 1 wicket respectively, great spell of turn and movement.
Boundaries kept on coming, Crane’s fielding was awful and not even worth talking about any more.
A batsmen from Boyne Hill scored 91, Ayush eventually bowling him.
Mitul finally done some work and got a brilliant run out.

Boyne Hill continued scoring heavily and ended up with 215 from 40 overs for 9 wickets.

Crane’s turn to bat…

In came Hardeep and Bob….fireworks from the first over…ball flying all over the place…..Hardeep and Gurjit scored a quick fire 19 and 29 respectively…
Hamzah and Zahir contributed 70 in total to help Crane’s massive chase….
Crane struggling at 92 to 4 after 20 overs….then 134 for 6 at 30 overs…

What was going on, can Crane can do this?…plenty of time and overs……
Ranjit and Mitul came in with the score around 180 on the board, Mitul’s hand strapped up together from his injury……Mitul tired with some massive fours…and only needed 11 of the last over, but was not able to fire Crane home to victory…Crane ended up with 205 for 9.

Crane lost by 11 runs….but, a great game of cricket, the balance changing all the time….
