Match report What a start!!!! A Winning start for Crane.

Great start for Sunny (acting Captain) – Well done from everybody

On a cloudy day, Crane travelled down to Putney and the fun fair!!!!!

Sunny won the toss and put the opposition into bat.

Gurjit and Mitul bowled with pace, length, line and bounce.
Mitul made the first breakthrough for Crane 2007 Season – what a middle stump delivery.
Putney continued to bat well, but at a slow pace, a total or 100 looked on the cards.

Sunny and Mitul made a few bowling changes and the run rate picked up and wickets kept on tumbling.

Well done to Ayush, new member, bowled very well.

Overall, everyone fielded and bowled well, especially Gurjit: excellent.
Putney posted 190 for 6 wickets

So in came in Chaz and Romy, with a slow start and tight bowling by Putney, the pressure was on.

Romy lived dangerously and made 17 and Chaz for 21.
In came Gurjit and Bob – a great partnership. Gurjit made 50 in the first game, looking great as before.

The run rate kept on increasing, the pressure was on, so Sunny sent in Sanjit, what can u say, played really well for 22, kept run chase going.
Ayush was unfortunate with a Duck, in came Mitul a slow start and then a 6 and 4 and then out.

Its nearly 8pm, getting dark, fun fair full blast…..5 over’s and a lot runs to get, in came Sunny and Rick…then the game was done….Crane won by 3 wickets.

Well done Sunny.

A great effort by everyone young and old and a great start to the season.
